We have another customer bringing us a 1965 Mustang to work on. This one is in much rougher shape than the first Mustang here. There's a lot of body rust in places you normally don't look at. The owner had us finish cutting out the floor boards that he started. We ended up replacing the fuel and brake lines as they were cut when removing the floor boards. The white you see in these pictures on the floor board are floor boards that have been cut out, replaced , and welded in. Seam sealer has been applied and a coat of protective primer has been sprayed on.
This customer had us install a Digital dash in his vehicle. He purchased the kit, against our advice of going with Dakota Digital. We could see that the Dakota digital dash kit was a much more developed kit than the one we got from Intellitronix. This one we had to add automotive connectors to the ends of the wires, so that if the dash were ever to have to come out; we could just disconnect it, and plug it back in when we were done. This probably doubled the install time for us.
The customer had to buy another "Original GT Style" cluster because he wanted to switch from the Cluster style in the car. He needed the other cluster because he needed the back housing to house the "digital kit". This step and parts was not needed in the Dakota Digital install.
